FAQ
The questions field leads usually ask before they call.
If the answer you need is not here, send the location, crew size, and timing through the quote form and we’ll scope the right bundle for the site.
Send us your site details→How fast can I get equipment to my site?
Same-day scoping is typical. Once you confirm the rental, equipment can be delivered within 24-48 hours for most jobs. The goal is to get your trailer, gate, and crew working in hours, not weeks.
Do I need on-site commissioning or can I handle placement myself?
All equipment is delivered pre-configured and tested. You can handle placement and power-on yourself after delivery, or add on-site commissioning where we position the equipment, power it on, verify the configuration, and test coverage before we leave. Either way, the equipment arrives ready to go.
Can the equipment cover more than one trailer, gate, or work zone?
Yes. The internet kit includes mesh access points that extend coverage from the main terminal out to gates, laydown areas, field offices, staging zones, and active work areas. Coverage layout is planned before the equipment ships.
What comes in the internet kit?
A typical internet kit includes a Starlink terminal, mesh Wi-Fi access points for site-wide coverage, an enterprise router with LTE failover, and all mounting and cabling hardware. Everything is pre-configured and tested before rental so it works out of the box.
Can this run without utility power or wired internet onsite?
Yes. The equipment is designed for sites that do not have wired internet or dependable utility power yet. The generator and battery equipment keeps the networking gear powered through outages, changeovers, and off-grid conditions. All power connections are cord-and-plug — no hardwiring involved.
What does the generator / power equipment include?
The power kit covers portable generator equipment, battery backup, and power continuity hardware sized for the internet and networking gear. All connections are temporary, portable, and cord-and-plug. No tie-ins to building electrical systems.
What kinds of sites are the best fit?
Construction sites, event grounds, oil fields, land management corridors, solar laydown yards, remote field offices, public works jobs, and other off-grid or temporary operations. If the site needs internet and power fast but a permanent solution is not realistic yet, the rental equipment fills the gap.
Can the equipment fix or stabilize an existing Starlink or mesh setup?
Yes. If the current equipment is unstable, underpowered, or only covers part of the site, replacement or supplemental rental equipment can fill the gaps — additional mesh nodes, a proper router with failover, or a cleaner power arrangement around the existing gear.
What happens when the rental period ends?
We pick up the equipment at the end of the rental term. Equipment is inspected and you receive a signed acknowledgment confirming return condition. Extensions are available if the project runs longer.
Do you do electrical work or permanent installation?
No. FieldSetup is an equipment rental company, not a contractor. All equipment is portable, temporary, and uses cord-and-plug power connections. Nothing is hardwired, mounted permanently, or tied into building electrical systems. If permanent installation is needed, we can point you to a licensed contractor.
